Chavez - how much do we need his oil?

17% of our oil comes from Venezeula, but what they export to us is 60% I f we cut ties with him, it would raise our gas prices by at least $2 but it would send them into a recession because we are their biggest export country and they would lose 60% of their income. I can't see how we could let that happen. I know it isn't beneath Bush, but we would destroy their economy. I can't see why anyone with a decent soul would do that to another country.
