Why the non-Asians protesting when it's not their issue?

You know what? That is so true what u just said. I was at the San Francisco torch run celebrating China's hosting of the Olympics and although there were a sizable Tibetan protestors, around half the protestors were these liberal hippies who I can totally tell they don't know who or what they are fighting for. If you ask them since when was Tibet a country, they would reply since before the "invasion" of China 70 years ago, I just laughed straight in their face! Tibet was part of China not for 70 years but 700! Many of the people I bet who protested the torch just used this issue of Tibet just as an excuse for their anti-China sentiments. I lived here in SF my whole life and I always thought this would be the city that can think rationally and be open minded about issues before ping judgement. Todays protesting just totally changed my view.
