Do scholars have an educational guess as to when Jesus was born?

I don't think it was Constantine who converted the pagan traditions into Christian ones. In fact it was a later emperor who made Christianity mandatory. My opinion is that when this happened, people did not want to convert but didn't want to die either, so they continued their pagan worship and traditions and merely claimed that they were worshipping Jesus instead.
