How many of you can't see past your blind (and unfounded?) hatred of Hillary?

Not sure where you're getting your "conventional wisdon," but I do believe Hillary will be the Democratic nominee. I also believe she the only one in the current batch who has a real shot at the White House. Even though I admire Obama, I don't think he can win a general election. He's too liberal in his philosophy. The mainstream voter won't vote for him once they find out where he stands on the issues. Hillary is really a moderate candidate (at least she will be a moderate once the primaries are over). Given her loyal support to Isreal, I don't think she's going to pull out of Iraq any time soon (that story will change after the primaries). "Falling back on Bill" is great in the eyes of hard core Democrates, but the mainstream voter actually views that as a negative. I wouldn't consider her a shoe in by any means for a general election. That will all depend on who the Republicans put up. I think the Republicans love coming into this race as the underdogs, that could certainly work to their advantage. In a way, I hope the Republicans can keep the White House, since the Democrats will certainly keep both Houses of Congress. I think it's a nice "checks and balances" having the legislative and executive branches with different parties. We sure don't want them all to be the same...look what happened when the Republicans ran the whole show...what a mess.
