Will someone please dismiss that notion that having fun while playing in the NFL does not equal success?

Everytime I see Brett Favre playing whoever is calling the game always says he's out there having fun so thats why hes playing good or why the team is winning. Having fun has nothin to do with winning or success. I'm sure the Rams are having fun but getting their es kicked every week. I played HS football on a winless team I had a blast but we never won a single game so where did this ridiculous idea come from? I think it's just homerism on the part of the announcers.
