Why would this guy call my cell private and not say anything?

First of all, if it is him who is calling, he's blocking his number because he doesn't think you know its him. Also, I wouldn't take it too seriously. It's not like he's stocking you. As for what he gets out of it? Probably two things: 1) A lot of disappointment and 2) Hands that smell like Vaseline
